On Friday 1st July I was invited by Kathryn Rodway, a sports teacher at Whitecross School, Lydney, Glos invited me to attend their first presentation evening. And what a success it was!
Paralympian Richard Whitehead, a double leg amputee who runs marathons and sprints was the Guest Speaker. It was fascinating listening to his story and taking notes on his style of public speaking!
It seemed like a very successful sporting year for the school, with may prizes being won, But the Sportsman of the Year: Lee Turley, Sportswoman of the Year: Brodie Knox and the Head of Departments Awards: Kelly Howells.
