My Sponsors

Helpful Holidays are based in the Stannary Town of Chagford, where I worked at the Public House, the Ring O’ Bells. Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, in the heart of the West Country their original family business has blossomed. I think this is due to their friendly, yet efficient communication with the customer and their personal knowledge of the area.

Moray Bowater and his Team have all been very supportive towards my Sporting Career. This began in the years building up to the 2012 Olympics, as well as their priceless cheerleading support on my competition days in London! This made fulfilling my dream of becoming an Olympian and at a home Olympics even more special.

To round off my 2012 experience, Helpful Holidays kindly gave my boyfriend, Sam and I a weeks holiday in a HH cottage of our choice. We browsed their website www.helpfulholidays.com whilst watching Olympic Highlights on the sofa! Chatting with the Team, hearing their personal views of our “short listed” cottages and our needs, we make a fabulous choice in the heart of St Mawes, Cornwall. This was a perfect way to wind down, having taken part in the “greatest show on earth,” on your home turf, which brings with it a world of pressures.

Helpful Holidays are now my only Platinum Sponsor in my “Road to Rio.” I’m particularly greatful of their continued and additional support, as there is still no funding for my event. I’m simply a local athlete striving to excel amongst the worlds best. Their care and professionalism recognise this, which makes dealing with their business a total pleasure.

RUAG Ammotec UK employ 9 people and are based across the border in Cornwall. They distribute solely to the retail trade, with a client base of 300+. I use both RWS .177 air pellets and .22 Cartridges for my competition pistols.

As well as their core product base of Rottweil, RWS and Norma, RUAG UK also distributes a number of other prestigious brands, including Perazzi – manufacturer of the World’s Number 1 Shotgun.

Phil Unwin first contacted me after seeing an article in the Western Morning News, when I broke the long standing Air Pistol Qualification and Final British Record. From that moment in 2008, I have been very appreciative of them supporting me with this important part of my equipment. Two individual “jet setting” days in the past four years, saw me visit the RWS factory in Nuremburg, GER. This to see Christian Thomas to get my Pistols batch tested. What eye-opening days. Brilliant!

RWS batch testing is now available at the Tunnel Target Sports Center………………………………

When competitions are won and lost by a millimetres that’s why I choose the quality and reliability of RWS.

Richard Clist and his Team at the Tunnel Target Sports Center, bring our sport alive! The fun atmosphere created encourages anyone of any age, gender and physical ability to have a go not only at the Olympic events, but use a wide variety of other guns that are still present in the UK. They like to encourage and nurture not only from the grassroots, but to elite level as well.

The Tunnel’s facilities were key to my London Olympic preparations. It was one of only three venues that I could train with my .22 Sport Pistol in Britain. I was always received with a warm welcome and the Team were very accommodating with my needs. My coach would meet me for 3-4day long training camps and Richard would help liaise with great local accommodation. He now has available the “Pods” on the Tunnel site, which I’m very much looking forward to staying in!

Located near Charmouth (about one hours drive from my home), I continue to train there in my “Road to Rio,” of which their support I’m very appreciative of. www.thetunnel.co.uk

I’m organising an Olympic Legacy project, designed to inspire the next generation into all sports that involve shooting. Richard, whose idea this was originally, is very kindly sponsoring the project with the full use of the Tunnel’s facilities for the weekend 16-17Feb 2013. This will be the first location of four around the South West for Shooting4England.
